I let Vonnie talk me into getting an on-line blog to record my semester. Although mass emailing has its perks, I know that this will be slightly easier to update (at least this is what I’m hoping).
I’m still in Atlanta waiting to leave. My plane departs for Casablanca on Feb. 2, so until then I am stuck here trying not to go insane. I have been attempting to study Arabic, but that has proved fruitless. It has merely reinforced that there is a lot that I do not know. Therefore, I have decided to put my ego on the self and accept the fact that I will probably place into beginner. This might not be too bad since the third time is a charm, right? Anyway, I need to stop typing and start working. Even though my trip is still 9 days away, I desparetly need to pack. This is because I will need to go through multiple scenarios of how to fit three months worth of shit into one duffel bag that should only weigh 25 lbs and one carry-on. These are the moments in life when I am being truly tested.
